
Commissioner Announced Inauguration Date of Rawalpindi Ring Road
Rawalpindi: Commissioner Liaquat Ali Chatta has unveiled the Rawalpindi Ring Road (RRR) launch date. He has conveyed to the public that the revolutionary project will be completed by July 31, 2024. Fast-paced work is already in progress including bridges over Sil & Swan River. The Thalian Interchange will also be revamped to accommodate the coming changes. He also announced that the traffic network of RRR and M-2 Motorway is also being modelled to efficiently handle the traffic.

Mr Chatta also informed the sources that the Parks and Horticulture Authority will also be carrying out a plantation drive on both sides of the Ring Road. Almost 18-20% of the development work on Rawalpindi Ring Road has been completed and the rest of the work will be accomplished by July 31, and the inauguration is scheduled for 14th August 2024.

The much-needed project includes the construction of 5 interchanges, six canals, 15 subways, 11 overpasses, a railway bridge and bridges over two rivers.
