
Bannu Economic Zone Launched in Peshawar
Peshawar: Care Taker Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Justice (retd.) Syed Arshad Hussain Shah has recently inaugurated the Bannu Economic Zone (BEZ) in a ceremony. The zone will be offering a range of commercial activity opportunities in the region. Several official dignitaries also participated in the occasion and expressed their relief regarding the project`s importance in contributing to the struggling economy of Pakistan.

The ceremony was attended by several officials including Industries Provincial Minister Dr Aamer Abdullah and Industries Secretary Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah. Other representatives were also present at the occasion including representatives from the Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development Management Company (KP-EZDMC). During the occasion, the CM KP personally handed over the allotment letters to the interested investors for attending the economic venture.
Numerous notable features were also highlighted on the occasion:
- 415 acres land area
- 265 industrial units
- PKR 10 billion attracted
- 60,000 job opportunities (approx)
The CM KP was also appraised on the current and upcoming economic zones in KP. He was also briefed about the 14 existing and functional economic zones bringing a huge economic and industrial potential to the province. All of this has enabled a cumulative investment of about Rs. 346 billion.
