
RDA, LDA Discuss Record Digitalization
Rawalpindi: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) and Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) have agreed to digitalize the record and move towards soft infrastructure development. The RDA delegation was led by Director General Saif Anwar Jappa and visited the LDA office to ponder upon the transition to soft infrastructure from a traditional setup.

According to the sources, the DG discussed with the RDA delegation about LDA`s resolve to take measures for efficient functioning. Additionally, the LDA has accomplished the digitization of 10 schemes, a step towards soft infrastructure.
The record of the rest of the schemes will also be digitized in the next step. The sole purpose of this revolutionary measure is to enhance service delivery in urban areas.

The delegation from RDA was also briefed about models of several signal-free corridors in Lahore. These included from Jinnah Hospital to Peco Road and Nazaria Pakistan Road. The benefits of the corridors were also apprised while addressing the traffic congestion. Implementation of such projects was appreciated on traffic management.
