
Safe City Project to be Initiated in Rawalpindi
Dubai: The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB)
, and Punjab Police to plan a comprehensive collaboration on Safe City Projects.
These are going to be initiated in 2 other Divisions such as Faisalabad, and
Gujranwala. Such measures are considered to provide ultimate security sense to
the people of these 3 Divisions. The project might later be expanded to other
areas of the province as well.

According to the sources, the initiatives will also be incorporated with Artificial Intelligence,
Automated Number Plate Recognition (ANPR), Facial Recognition, and Tag & Trace Systems. Such
integrations will be made part of the project to ensure the crime effectively.
These projects were discussed in a meeting chaired by the PITB Chairman Faisal Yousuf.
Several other officials were also present in the meeting such as Chief Technology
Officer Adil Iqbal Khan, Additional Director General Qasim Afzal, and others.
Chairman Faisal Yousaf appreciated the team for their efforts regarding the
execution of the safe city project within the deadline. He also highlighted
the efforts of the PITB software engineer wing to develop an effective and efficient solution.
