CDA Sign Agreement to Digitize Car Parking

Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has recently signed an agreement with a private company to digitize several car parking areas in Islamabad as per public-private partnership. This agreement was signed between both parties according to a decision taken at the 9th meeting of the CDA Board in October 2023.

According to the sources, the CDA has planned to digitize car parking facilities in Islamabad. The step is being carried out for the sake of digitization and transparency. The smart car parking mechanisms will be installed at all the official car parking facilities in Islamabad.
A transparent bidding process was conducted in which 8 companies submitted the proposals in November 2023. As per the agreement, 25% of the revenue collected from the parking facilities will be transferred to the M/S AJCL, and the rest of the 75% revenue will be given to the CDA.

The plan of CDA is a measure observed for providing convenience to the inhabitants of Islamabad and avoiding unnecessary traffic jams along with adding financial value to the economy of the country.
