
ADB, WAPDA Plans Funds for Hydro Infrastructure
Islamabad: The Asian Development Bank ( ADB
) and the Water and Power Development Authority ( WAPDA
) have met to discuss finances regarding the water and hydropower projects. The projects will address the increasing water shortage in Pakistan and relevant areas of these projects.

According to the sources, financial avenues will be explored after a meeting of the ADB delegation led by the Country Director, Yong Ye with the WAPDA led by the Chairman Engineer Lt. Gen Sajjad Ghani.
The projects include:
- Naulong Dam
- Kurram Tangi Dam Phase II
- Pattan Hydropower Project

Several other details were also shared for projects like Mohmand Dam, Dasu Hydropower Project, Diamer Bhasha Dam, and Atta Abad Lake Hydropower Project. On this occasion, the Chairman of WAPDA shared his optimistic views and commented on the need for these projects.
